Obituary > Dr Jacques Palombo (1939-2021)
On 16 September, Dr Jacques Palombo, a trustee of the Fondation Napoléon, suddenly passed away. As a long-time activist in the associative world, he had been a member of the Board of Trustees and the Standing Committee of the Souvenir Napoléonien for some fifteen years. They appointed him as one of its representatives on the board of the Fondation Napoléon in 2010 a role his has held ever since. His wit and frankness were often useful and sometimes caustic. As a general practitioner, Jacques Palombo had also sat on the Conseil de l’Ordre des Médecins [Council of the Order of Physicians]. Among his many passions, he was also a great collector of Egyptian antiques. His funeral was held on Wednesday 22 September in the church of Saint-Ferdinand in Paris, and was buried at the cemetery of Bagneux.
The President, the Board of Trustees and the staff of the Fondation Napoléon share the grief of his family, to whom they offer their most respectful condolences.
