Fondation Napoléon Collection > ‘The Emperor’s coronation’, an exhibition at the “Musée d’histoire locale” of the town of Rueil-Malmaison (Paris region)
To celebrate the 220th anniversary of the “Sacre”, the local history museum in Rueil-Malmaison (92) will be presenting works exclusively from the collection of the Fondation Napoléon, from 19 October 2024 to 25 January 2025.

– View of the main façade of the church of Notre-Dame and the Portico that decorated it on the day of the Sacre
– Rotunda decorated with tapestries, reception of guests on their arrival at Notre-Dame
– Episode of Napoleon’s coronation ceremony
– Napoleon in his “petit” coronation costume
– Vase with portrait of the Emperor in coronation costume
– Medal bearing the effigy of Napoleon and Josephine commemorating the coronation ceremony at the town hall

To mark the occasion, the Fondation Napoléon has placed on long-term loan the sculpture of Napoleon as Législateur to the Musée d’Histoire Locale de Rueil-Malmaison for a renewable period of 5 years.
