Creation of a Fondation Napoléon-Masséna Society doctoral research grant

The Fondation Napoléon, in partnership with the Massena Society, has earmarked one of its annual research grants for English-language Ph.D. research on Napoleonic subjects of the First or Second Empire. The successful applicant will receive a grant of 7,500€. While the Ph.D. dissertation may be written in English, non-French speaking applicants must agree to spend half of the grant award either on research work in France or on French language instruction if the candidate has no French (receipts will be requested). Applications must be made via the Massena Society. The successful candidate will then be invited to the award ceremony in Paris in December 2017.
