Partnership with the Archives Nationales
The director of the Archives Nationales, Françoise Banat-Berger, and the president of the Fondation Napoléon, Victor-André Masséna, Prince of Essling, signing the partnership agreement between the two institutions on Monday 14 December 2015

On Monday 14 December, 2015, a partnership agreement was signed at the Fondation Napoléon’s offices in Paris between the Archives Nationales (the French National Archives) and the Fondation Napoléon, represented respectively by the Director of the Archives Nationales, Françoise Banat-Berger and the President of the Fondation Napoléon, Victor-André Massena, Prince of Essling.

The partnership provides the framework for collaboration between the two institutions in the field of archival research, notably: archival data analysis; the writing of documentary notes related to Napoleonic archives of the Archives Nationales; the sharing and dissemination of specific joint research projects by the Archives Nationales and the Fondation Napoléon. The two institutions also plan to collaborate in cultural, educational and historical events as well as the joint publication of books and digitisation of archival material.

A committee will meet annually in order to supervise the evolution of the partnership, which has been established for an initial term of six years. The Napoleon Foundation is extremely pleased with this new collaboration with the illustrious French institution.
