Annual accounts statements

The Fondation Napoléon’s finance is drawn mostly from revenues from the Lapeyre bequest, which are currently managed by the Fondation de France. The Lapeyre capital is administered by this large institution in association with the Fondation Napoléon. Since 1987, the capital has not only been maintained, but has actually increased. In accordance with the results it records each year, the Fondation de France distributes funds to the Fondation Napoléon in the form of an annual subsidy, which fulfils around 60% of our needs.

The remainder of our finance is assured, for the most part, by what we earn through our own portfolio of shares and bonds, through copyright and exhibition royalties, and through donations and bequests.

The accounting of the Fondation Napoléon is undertaken in accordance with French law. The annual accounts include accounts of the total result, a complete balance sheet, a report from the accounts auditor and annexe notes which satisfy our legal obligations.
